Following are text messages we received from Pastor Patrick recently while he is traveling in Ireland getting things setup for an upcoming Nicky Cruz crusade and our mission trip later this year.

We got stopped by a police checkpoint last night. Police in riot gear were stopping all cars to chk for bombs in light of the cop that was killed last Sat. We just boarded a train for Dubln & were advised that due to security alert, we will have to get off the train in 2 stops, board a bus, and reboard teh train down the line. The adventure continues.

Just started to see other cars.

Earlier this week as I was walking through the new sanctuary, I was struck with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Immediately the Holy Spirit cautioned me. I felt Him saying that it was okay to rejoice in what was being accomplished miraculously and in such a short time before our eyes and through our efforts. But I felt Him challenge me/us to be more intent and impressed at what He is doing in rebuilding broken lives, marriages, and sick minds + bodies. The building we meet in is just that, a temporal place that will one day be no more. The building He is doing in the lives of justified people, who are in a constant state of sanctification, is the focus and will last for eternity.

Just a thought...

Sunday night we had a time of worship and fervent prayer for our new sanctuary and our upcoming Easter services. Following are some prayer points and praise reports from our general contractor Ro'i. Please review them and take some time over the next couple of weeks to pray for the construction project and for a fruitful Easter weekend as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and share with the world that He is risen and alive!

  • We need to pass our framing inspection for the stage so we can pour the concrete by Thursday. —PASSED and poured it today!
  • We need our fire inspection on the education wing Wednesday and final building inspection for that area Thursday. —PASSED with comments, but they have allowed us to use the area with people at the exits when occupied
  • To complete the painting of all sanctuary walls by week's end. Should be done today.
  • To complete painting of lobby ceiling by Wednesday. Still painting that, should be complete today.
  • To have A\V booth framed and all electrical roughed in by week's end. Will have booth framed today.
  • Start suspended ceilings under new lobby soffits and complete by midweek next week. Ceiling will start tomorrow.
  • For the right decision on how to proceed for the sanctuary stage lighting.
  • For the Lord to minister to DJ, our newest employee. That he would understand God's love for him and that He is a healer of the heart.
  • For Bill, the foreman for HVAC Solutions, our mechanical contractor. He is not saved but keeps feeling something on the jobsite. (It's so cool to watch that!)
  • We had some wind damage to the Greenhouse walls and roof. We need to get that fixed quickly. We have it boarded up and insurance claim started.
  • Pray our irrigation system is in good shape. We will probably turn that on next week or so.
  • With a thankful heart for all the volunteers that have worked here. Here are just a few of them:
    • Chris & Rebecca of Reliant K Electric donated their time last Saturday and repaired all of our exterior lights, no charge!
    • Peter Liu has done all the demolition of existing mechanical so we would not have to pay for this expense. He has at least 60 hours of volunteer time in with others helping him.
    • Larry Hunt installed most of the plumbing fixtures in the west bathrooms. Brian Powers and his wife donated all the new sinks and traps.
    • Merlin Gingerich, Green Thumb Landscaping, is parking a skid steer here for our use whenever we need it. We used it to start some of the landscaping.

The Lord certainly desires to do far above what we can see. It has been a pleasure serving you. Looking forward to finishing strong. —Ro'i
