As believers and members of Christ's body we have a legacy. We are his church, or ekklesia in the Greek, which means “called out.” We are called out of darkness and hopelessness, and into the ministry of reconciliation. Scripture tells us that we have our citizenship in Heaven; we are joint heirs with Christ; we have been given every spiritual blessing; and we are sealed and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. We are to be watchful and aware of the times we live in and what is going on around us. We need to stand firm in our faith and establish deep roots. We are to be brave. In understanding our legacy we increase our faith, allowing us to trust God to give us the strength we need to fulfill our calling.
